Krystal Marie Balm (born on November 24 in 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a political candidate, and also a television host at MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former host of The Hill's Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. Her guest appearances include on Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball attributes her interest in politics to the reality that she became a mom during the 2008 primaries, and also was able to be able to watch the US presidential election results while in Jordan. She was able to see the impact it affected the people of her home country and gained an appreciation for the worldwide impact of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee in Virginia's 1st District of the Congressional Congress in 2010, but lost to Rob Wittman, who is the incumbent Republican. She was co-host of the MSNBC program The Cycle from June 2012 to July 2015. She created the People's House Project in May 2017 to promote Democratic causes.
